Samuel H. Steinberg, MBA, PhD, FACHE
Dr. Steinberg is a board certified hospital administrator with over 35 years of experience, including 10 years as a hospital chief executive officer. Early in his career, he became interested in risk management and began serving as an expert witness for hospital administrative issues in medical malpractice cases in 1978. He has supervised the risk management programs at hospitals and health systems, consulted for both London and Bermuda based insurers, initiated and led two captive insurance companies, and has evaluated hundreds of cases for insurers, hospitals, and attorneys. He continues to consult for hospitals and other companies throughout the United States and serves as a faculty member in the University of Phoenix's health administration programs. Dr. Steinberg has written and spoken widely and is the author of many articles and The Physician's Survival Guide for The Hospital. He has an MBA in hospital administration and a Ph.D. in Organization and Management. He is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
